The branch of neurosurgery, also known as Neurosurgery, is the field of interest of the neurosurgery department, which is the surgical treatment of the nervous system. Our hospitals have all the radiological infrastructure and treatment opportunities to diagnose these patients. It is possible to list the diseases that our branch treats, under the main headings:

  • Herniation seen in the neck and lumbar region of the spine (cervical and lumbar disc hernias) These types of surgeries are performed with microsurgical methods under the microscope and our patients are discharged the next day after spending the night of the operation in the hospital.

  • Different treatment methods for painful conditions caused by spinal disorders, for example, treatment with electrical stimuli known as radiofrequency

  • Similarly, electrical stimulus treatment (radiofrequency) was used in our patients with facial pain who did not respond adequately to drug therapy.

  • Congenital and developmental diseases of the nervous system, deformities

  • Trauma-related damage to the brain and spinal cord

  • Vascular bubble (aneurysm) and abnormal vascular bundle (arteriovenous malformation) and similar vascular diseases seen in the brain

  • Benign or malignant tumors of the brain and spinal cord

  • Degenerative diseases of the spine (spine shift, deformities)

  • Trauma-related damage to the nerves in the arms and feet, especially nerve compression in the wrist (carpal tunnel disease), the most common example

  • Operations of spinal bone fractures (kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty surgeries)

  • In vital or neurological emergencies, patient treatment and care are provided uninterruptedly in our operating room and postoperative intensive care units, which work 24 hours a day.

Brain and Nerve Surgery works in close cooperation with close branches in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in its field of interest. For example, our patients and their relatives are informed about the treatment methods (endovascular embolization and other radiological techniques), which are an option other than surgical treatment in the treatment of some vascular diseases in the brain and spinal cord, and a treatment plan is created by evaluating the conditions of our patients together with the radiology department.
